NQCC’s Strategic Partnership With the New QCi3 Hub
December 17, 2025 -- Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) announced recently, the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) and the new Hub for Quantum Computing via Integrated and Interconnected Implementations (QCi3) pledge to work together to advance the field of quantum computing for the benefit of the UK and unlock the advantages for wider society.
Both the QCi3 Hub and the NQCC are part of the National Quantum Technologies Programme (NQTP). Hence, the synergies within core areas of work will help accelerate development and performance of UK quantum computing efforts.
“The two organisations will endeavour to pursue joint research and build the future workforce, by promoting the mobility of researchers working on collaborative projects, supporting training schemes and sharing access to their facilities”, commented Dr Michael Cuthbert, Director, NQCC.
Professor Dominic O’Brien, Director of the Hub said, “This MOU strengthens a shared vision, recognising the profound impacts quantum computing is expected to have in advancing knowledge and scientific discovery, and for realising economic and societal benefits”.
