Leaders from Purdue University and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory on Monday (Sept. 9) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote collaborative research between Purdue and Argonne in areas of common scientific and technical interest. Revenue for the first half of fiscal year was $4.6 million, bookings were $7.2 million, GAAP gross profit was $3 million, GAAP operating expenses were $39.4 million, and net loss was $35.1 million.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland has announced its new Minor in Quantum Science and Engineering. The minor is an interdisciplinary program that will be open to both Engineering (ENGR) and College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS) students. This undergraduate minor is the university's first quantum degree program and one of the first undergraduate quantum programs in the United States.

Additionally, the parties signed a letter of intent to build meaningful and sustainable connections between the respective ecosystems.

IonQ, a manufacturer of ion trap quantum computer hardware, announced yesterday that the company will release its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2024, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, after the financial markets close. Quantonation, the leading early-stage investment fund dedicated to quantum technologies, announced yesterday that it has invested in Paris-based Pioniq Technologies through its fund Quantonation II. Pioniq Technologies is developing novel solid-state energy storage devices utilizing quantum materials.
