Canada Provided Over CAD 11 Million in Funding to Three Quantum Innovation Organizations in British Columbia

Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada, recently announced over CAD 11 million in Regional Quantum Initiative (RQI) funding to three innovative B.C.-based organizations. Among them, quantum computing software company 1QB will receive nearly CAD 3.5 million to develop and commercialize their Topological Quantum Architecture Design, Simon Fraser University will receive CAD 4.3 million for the purchase of new quantum manufacturing infrastructure, and the University of British Columbia will receive CAD 3.25 million to enhance the commercialization capabilities of its SBQMI institute in quantum technology.
