Equal1 Launches Bell-1: The First Quantum System Purpose-Built for the HPC Era
Equal1 Launches Bell-1: The First Quantum System Purpose-Built for the HPC Era
Equal1 today unveils Bell-1, the first quantum system purpose-built for the HPC era. Unlike first-generation quantum computers that demand dedicated rooms, infrastructure, and complex cooling systems, Bell-1 is designed for direct deployment in HPC-class environments. As a rack-mountable quantum node, it integrates directly alongside classical compute—as compact as a GPU server, yet exponentially more powerful for the world’s hardest problems. Bell-1 is engineered to eliminate the traditional barriers of cost, infrastructure, and complexity, setting a new benchmark for scalable quantum computing integration.

Nu Quantum Launches Quantum Datacenter Alliance With Cisco, NTTData, OQC, QphoX, Quantinuum, QuEra
Nu Quantum has launched the Quantum Data Centre Alliance (QDA) to bring together leading companies representing different layers of the quantum computing stack and create a forum on data centre-scale quantum computers. By collecting complimentary perspectives from across the ecosystem, the QDA presents an open community to discuss the opportunities and challenges on the road to building large, scalable, and robust quantum computing services.
ESA and European Commission Partner to Develop Secure Quantum Communication Infrastructure
ESA and European Commission Partner to Develop Secure Quantum Communication Infrastructure
Announced in Brussels, Belgium, the European Space Agency (ESA) and European Commission formalised their cooperation agreement, partnering to strengthen support of a groundbreaking quantum communication network across the EU. European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI) marks a significant step forward in meeting the EU’s Digital Decade target of being at the forefront of quantum capabilities by 2030. The agreement was signed between Roberto Viola, the European Commission's Director-General of DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT), and Laurent Jaffart, ESA's Director of Connectivity and Secure Communications.
