EPIQUE, a research project funded by the European Commission, aims to establish the foundation for a European quantum computer based on photons, the quanta of light. The project, led by Sapienza University in Rome, commencing today with the kick-off meeting, involves collaboration among 18 partners from 12 countries, including the University of Vienna.
