Bluefors Launches Next Generation Helium Recovery Solution for Single NMR Systems

SYRACUSE, NY, USA, April 07, 2026 -- Bluefors today announced the launch of the Cryomech HeRL01-RM Helium Reliquefier, a breakthrough solution designed for direct helium recovery from single Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) systems. Building on the proven performance of the company’s previous HeRL02-RM model, the new HeRL01-RM offers laboratories a more energy-efficient option that operates on single-phase power.

NMR systems are widely used as analytical tools in chemistry, materials science, life sciences, and pharmaceutical research. They have a critical role in applications such as molecular structure determination, metabolomics, drug discovery, polymer research, and quality control. Liquid helium is required to cool NMR magnets to cryogenic temperatures, enabling superconductivity and the generation of the extremely stable, high magnetic fields essential for accurate and high‑resolution results.

The HeRL01-RM transforms laboratory NMR magnets into closed-loop, zero-boil-off systems, allowing for continuous recovery and reliquefaction of the helium used.
