Dutch photonic chip accelerator PhotonDelta has announced the opening of a new office in North America. The move is part of the organisation’s goal to grow the photonic chip industry by promoting collaboration between European and North American organisations, both leaders in this emerging key enabling technology.

A new report recently released by the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) shows that the number of new job postings in the quantum technology sector declined again last month. Globally, the number of newly published job positions in May dropped by 16.9% compared to the number in April. Among these, Europe experienced a 25.9% decline, North America a 17.9% drop, and other regions of the world a 45.2% decrease. This data has been on a downward trend for three consecutive months.
