Multiverse Computing, a quantum computing solutions company, recently announced that it has successfully delivered a pilot project with Iberdrola, a clean energy giant, in northern Spain aimed at optimizing the installation of grid-scale batteries. The company said that its solution uses quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms to assist Iberdrola in selecting the optimal number, type, and location of batteries on the grid network, resulting in reduced costs for battery additions and increased network performance.
