Quantum Fintech Orientom Expands in SE Asia

Industry / Press Release August 9, 2025

August 06, 2025 -- Orientom announced on the 5th that it attended the ‘Thailand Quantum Summit 2025’, an international conference for the global development of quantum technology and ecosystem construction, and revealed its own financial quantum technology under development.

This event began on the 3rd and concludes on the 5th. It aims to foster collaboration among academia, talent, industry, and investors, and to foster a sustainable quantum technology ecosystem.

The event was hosted by the Quantum Technology Research Initiative (QTRI). Official sponsors included the Thailand Quantum Technology Research Initiative Consortium (QTRic), a consortium of approximately 100 quantum experts in Thailand, the Program Management Unit-B (PMU-B), and the National Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation Policy Board (NXPO).

At this summit, Orientom attracted attention by presenting a session on the 4th, introducing the current status of quantum finance algorithm development, actual use cases, and sharing insights on the potential application of quantum technology to the financial industry.

Orientom’s Chief Financial Officer, Jeong Ho Chu, said, “The price of derivatives is determined by the movement of the underlying asset, and the option price evaluation method requires high-dimensional calculations such as Monte Carlo simulation and Finite Difference Method for the Black-Scholes model.” He added, “Quantum algorithms will enable real-time pricing and risk analysis of complex structured note by dramatically improving computational speed compared to existing methods.”

“Quantum algorithms enable high-dimensional probability modeling to be processed much more precisely and quickly,” said Chu. “This could be a major turning point, particularly in the valuation of derivatives and structured notes.”

“This summit provided us with opportunities to collaborate and advance into Thailand and the Asia-Pacific region,” said AlfredBang, CEO of Orientom. “We will continue to actively work to build a global quantum ecosystem.”
