May 21 2025 -- Bluefors has announced the successful delivery and installation of 18 cryogenic systems for the Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI Technology (G-QuAT) at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).

The opening of the G-QuAT center in Tsukuba, Japan, on May 18, 2025, marked a key milestone in AIST’s ongoing investment in quantum computing research. As part of this effort, Bluefors delivered its KIDE Cryogenic Platform—designed to support large-scale quantum systems with over 1000 qubits and integrated cryogenic measurement capabilities.

In total, Bluefors supplied 18 fully-wired cryogenic measurement systems to the G-QuAT center. Installation was completed within six weeks, providing the center with the infrastructure needed to support quantum technology research. The scale and speed of the deployment reflect Bluefors’ manufacturing capacity and experience in supporting complex quantum computing environments.
