QuantrolOx Installs Quantum EDGE at NQCC to Accelerate Quantum Research Initiatives
Espoo, Finland, September 24 2025 -- QuantrolOx, the developer of Quantum EDGE software for automated quantum control, is pleased to announce that its technology has been installed in the experimental laboratories of the UK’s National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC). This installation provides NQCC researchers with advanced control-automation capabilities to support their ongoing efforts to develop scalable quantum computing technology.
Quantum EDGE is designed to work out-of-the-box with minimal set-up, allowing researchers to focus on high-level tasks such as quantum error correction rather than spending time on qubit bring-up, characterisation and tuning. By streamlining QPU calibration, Quantum EDGE can help accelerate experimental workflows and system optimisation.
“We’re pleased that NQCC researchers are making use of Quantum EDGE in their experimental set-ups,” said Vishal Chatrath, CEO of QuantrolOx. “We believe it will play a key role in supporting the broader quantum ecosystem as it moves towards scalable quantum computing.”
Dr Vivek Chidambaram, Superconducting Hardware Development Manager at the NQCC, commented: “Access to robust automation tools is important as we scale up our research programmes. Technologies like Quantum EDGE can help accelerate device characterisation and enable our teams to focus more on addressing the challenges of scaling quantum computing and system integration.”
