QIA Partners With QuIC to Advance Industrialisation of the Quantum Internet at Q-Expo
DELFT, THE NETHERLANDS, February 23, 2026 -- The Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) today announced a strategic partnership with the European Quantum Industry Consortium (QuIC) in the context of Q-Expo, using the event as a platform to advance the industrialisation of quantum networking and strengthen industry and supply-chain participation across the ecosystem.
The partnership reflects QIA’s continued evolution as an industry-driven alliance focused on translating quantum internet research into scalable technologies and deployable infrastructure. By partnering with QuIC and leveraging Q-Expo’s established business-oriented audience, QIA aims to reinforce alignment around industrial readiness, commercial use cases, and ecosystem development.
“Advancing the quantum internet toward deployment depends on alignment across the value chain. This partnership with QuIC and the expansion of the QIA Technology Forum (QIATF), its industry coordination platform, at Q-Expo reinforce a shared industry focus on use cases, testbeds and scale,” said QIA Director Stephanie Wehner.
“QuIC is thrilled to partner with QIA to feature the development of the quantum internet and help shape the event programme. Q-Expo will serve as a critical meeting ground to explore the implementation, adoption, and market impact of the internet of the future,” said QuIC Executive Director, Thierry Botter.
Taking place 18-19 May 2026 in Bilbao, Spain, Q-Expo is QuIC’s flagship event, bringing together quantum end users, industry and investors through a business expo and plenary sessions.
Meet and learn about QIA at Q-Expo
QIA will host a dedicated quantum networking session at Q-Expo, covering why quantum networking matters, global perspectives, scaling challenges, startup insights, use cases and strategic takeaways.
QIA will also be present on site with a dedicated exhibition booth and participation in key activities throughout the event.
Finally, QIA will also host QIATF meetings during the Q-Expo, giving expo attendees the opportunity to get involved with the open forum that connects industry, academia and ecosystem partners to advance quantum internet development, deployment and community growth.
“Q-Expo builds on QIA’s existing role within the quantum internet industry and marks a stronger focus on deployment and scale. It provides a practical setting to engage the broad ecosystem of quantum technologies that a quantum internet can connect, share experiences from early implementations, and broaden participation across the ecosystem,” Wehner added.
