Quemix Selected for Q-STAR and Plug and Play Japan’s “Quantum Startup Accelerator Program”

September 10, 2026 -- Quemix Inc. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yu-ichiro Matsushita; hereinafter "Quemix"), a company engaged in the research and development of quantum computer algorithms and software, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of five companies for the "Quantum Startup Accelerator Program" conducted by the Quantum STrategic industry Alliance for Revolution (hereinafter "Q-STAR") and Plug and Play Japan KK (hereinafter "Plug and Play").

Q-STAR is a Japan-based organization promoting the industrialization of quantum technology, with more than 160 member companies, universities, and research institutions. Through industry-academia-government collaboration, Q-STAR promotes the social implementation of quantum technology and international collaboration. To further accelerate Japan’s quantum ecosystem, Q-STAR has launched, jointly with Plug and Play, a world-class Silicon Valley-based accelerator, a startup support program for companies seeking to develop businesses leveraging quantum technology.

This program is conducted as part of the Cabinet Office’s Council for Science, Technology and Innovation Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) Phase 3, “Promoting the Application of Advanced Quantum Technologies to Social Challenges” (Managing Organization: National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST)).

During the three-month program, Quemix will receive hands-on, tailor-made business development support from dedicated teams at Q-STAR and Plug and Play, based on a startup-first perspective. By making full use of Plug and Play’s expertise and network as a world-class accelerator, together with Q-STAR’s strong industrial base, Quemix will strongly advance its business development toward its goal of “the practical application and industrialization of quantum computers in simulation and related fields.”
