June 12, 2026 -- Indra Group and Quside Technologies, a company based in Castelldefels, Barcelona, have reached a strategic collaboration agreement to explore and develop joint opportunities in advanced technologies with applications in the defense sector.

Both companies expect to generate synergies through this alliance: Indra Group will contribute its expertise in advanced defense systems, secure communications, cyber defense, artificial intelligence (AI), and space, while Quside, a company specializing in cybersecurity solutions based on deep-tech technologies, will contribute its capabilities in quantum random number generation and cryptographic modules.

The initiative is aligned with the growing relevance of quantum technologies and advanced security architectures in modernization programs and the protection of critical environments. In recent months, Indra Group has strengthened its position in secure quantum communications and cyber-resilient solutions for defense and space, while Quside has continued to advance the development of QRNG solutions — quantum random number generators — designed to reinforce the cryptographic foundation of systems that support and require the highest levels of security and reliability.

Through this collaboration, both companies aim to contribute to strengthening high-value technological capabilities in Spain and Europe, as well as to the development of an innovative industrial ecosystem capable of addressing the current and future challenges of the defense sector.

New industrial opportunities in Catalonia

The plans driven by the Special Modernization Programs (PEM), aimed at incorporating advanced technologies into defense, open up new opportunities for Catalan companies with dual-use technological capabilities.

The agreement between Indra Group and Quside was formalized during the IV Meeting of the National Defense Industry Ecosystem, held on May 11 in Barcelona. Through alliances such as this one, Indra Group aims to integrate high-value technological capabilities into large-scale industrial projects, reduce development timelines, and accelerate their operational application in strategic areas that are key to technological sovereignty.
